Same fitting as the black claw, different job. Yellow marks the fence. From a distance a row of yellow insulators draws a clear line across a field, so a hot wire that would otherwise be nearly invisible becomes something people and animals notice before they walk into it. That is worth doing around a farmyard, across a trail, along a riding arena, or on any temporary cross fence that has appeared where there was no fence yesterday. Horses benefit most. A fence they can see is a fence they do not run through, and a fence they run through is a vet bill. Electrically it does exactly what any T-post insulator does. It clips over the post, grips the studs and holds the conductor well clear of the grounded steel, going on and coming off by hand with no tools at all. Twenty-five to a pack covers a good stretch at normal post spacing. Buy a few extra, because claw insulators wear where cattle rub against them, and one broken claw dropping a live wire onto a T-post will kill the whole fence in a hurry.
