Details
Half-inch politape gives you visibility without the wind and snow load of the wide horse tapes. Livestock see a white band well against grass, dirt and drifted snow, and animals that can see a fence tend to test it far less than animals that only find it with their nose. The tape carries six stainless steel conductors woven through the webbing. Weaving them in rather than laying them along the surface spreads the current across the full width and keeps the line live even if a strand breaks somewhere along the run. Six hundred and sixty feet is a practical roll size - one strand around a small paddock, or a couple of strands of temporary cross-fence. It winds cleanly onto a reel for strip grazing and rolls back up in fall without kinking. Use tape buckles at joins and at each end where the tape doubles back through the insulator; knots crush the stainless conductors and the fence goes dead past that point. Patriot lists a one-year UV guarantee on this tape.
