T-posts are everywhere on a working farm and every one of them is grounded, so a hot wire cannot be allowed to touch one. Claw insulators clip over the post and grip the studs, holding the conductor out where it belongs. No wire ties, no tools, no drilling. The claw design is why they get used so heavily. They go on with a push and come off again just as easily, so you can change wire heights through the season, add a low strand for calves, or strip the posts down completely when a temporary fence comes out. On a line you are already driving T-posts into, they are the fastest way to make that line hot. Black is for fences you would rather not look at. Along a yard, a driveway, or a paddock in front of the house, black insulators read as almost nothing against a weathered steel post. If the fence crosses ground where people or horses move around and you want it noticed, use yellow instead. Twenty-five to a pack, and spares are worth having, since claws take a beating from stock rubbing and eventually one lets go.
