Details
The SolarGuard 1000 is the point in the solar range where you can run a real grazing operation off one unit. Patriot rates it at 1.3 stored joules, 1.0 joule of output, up to 40 miles of fence or 140 acres, all from a 9.6W panel and an internal rechargeable 12V battery. Everything lives in one housing. Panel, battery, electronics and mounting are integrated, so there is no separate panel to wire, no battery box to build, and nothing extra sitting out on a remote fence line waiting to walk away. It is light enough that one person can carry it to the far corner of a lease and hang it on a post. That combination is what a lot of western Canadian grazing actually needs. Community pasture, a rented quarter, bush pasture with no service within miles. A unit like this puts a proper fence out there instead of a token one. Face the panel south and clear of shade, sweep the snow off after a storm, and give it a real ground field with more than one rod. Patriot rates it for year round performance in harsh weather and covers it three years including lightning.
