This is the same job as the black version with one difference that matters: yellow tells people the wire is there. On a chain link fence around a yard, a shop compound, a corral that visitors walk past, or anywhere kids and hired help come and go, a hot wire that blends into the mesh is a wire somebody grabs. Yellow reads as a warning at a glance and saves you the conversation. The insulator fixes to the chain link fabric and holds the conductor out clear of the mesh, so the fence itself stays dead and the current stays on the wire. Use it to stop dogs digging at the base, deer clearing the top, or stock in an adjoining pen pushing the fabric out of line. Twenty-five to a pack. Set them at a spacing that keeps the wire standing off the mesh even under wet snow, because a conductor that settles back against galvanized fabric will short the run and you will spend the morning finding out why the tester reads low.
