Corners are where insulator systems run out of options. A T-post corner, a rebuilt post that is neither one thing nor the other, a pipe corner in a corral, none of them take a standard bracket, and the conductor ends up wrapped around something it should not be touching. The wrap-around solves it by going around the post entirely. It is a 610 mm (24 inch) insulated length that passes right around the post, whatever the post is, and ties on with wire. Patriot supplies these ten to a pack, SKU 811413, and lists them as an economical way to make fence corners. Because the load runs through the insulated body and around the post, it is the post carrying the tension rather than a nail or a clamp. That is what you want at a corner, and it is why this fitting turns up on rebuilds where the corner post was set long before anyone thought about running electric. Measure the post before you order. A 610 mm length wraps a substantial post comfortably, and Patriot lists more than one size in the range, so check what you have in the ground first.
