Details
Every polytape fence fails in the same two places: the corner and the tie-off. That is where the whole tension of the run lands, and tape that has been folded, knotted or wrapped around a wire loop will fray from the inside until it lets go. This fitting spreads the pull across the full 40 mm (1.5 inch) width of the tape. It mounts to a wood post or a metal post with nails or screws, front or back, and Patriot supplies it two to a pack, SKU 814593. Count what you actually need before ordering. Every corner takes one, every end takes one, and a fence with three strands takes three at each of those points. A simple square paddock with three tape strands needs a dozen before you have accounted for the gate. When you tie off, run the tape through the insulator, double it back and secure it to itself rather than to the post. That way the load is tape against tape, and any adjustment later is a matter of undoing one buckle instead of pulling nails.
