Signage on an electric fence is partly courtesy and partly liability. Anyone walking a road allowance, reading a meter or delivering a load has no way of knowing a wire is hot until it tells them, and in many municipalities posting the fence is not optional. Worth checking your local bylaws before you decide how many you need. Ten signs per pack, in the standard yellow, measuring 200 x 100 mm (8 x 4 inches) at 40 mil thickness. They are pre-punched and clip directly onto the fence wire, so there is no separate post or bracket to install. Distributors list them as part 809700. Put them where people actually approach the fence rather than spacing them evenly around a quarter section. Gates, road frontage, driveways, the corner nearest a neighbour's yard and anywhere a trail or path meets the line. A sign in the middle of a field does nobody any good. Fasten them to a strand that stays tight. On polywire or tape that comes down seasonally, move the signs with the fence rather than leaving them on the post, because a sign lying in the grass is not a sign.
