Patriot rope/braid to energizer connector
The fitting that joins polirope or braid to your energizer lead-out wire without a knotted, high-resistance connection.
Details
The connection between the energizer lead-out and the fence is the one place where every joule you own has to pass through a single joint. Get it wrong and nothing else on the fence matters, because you have throttled the whole system at the very first fitting. This connector is built for that junction. It takes the braid or rope on one side and the lead-out wire on the other, clamping both so the conductors sit in real metal-to-metal contact. Twisting a lead-out around a rope and taping it might hold for a week, but it corrodes, it loosens with temperature swings, and it lets go right when you have stock leaning on the fence. Set it somewhere you can inspect without much effort, because this is the first thing to check when a fence goes dead. Keep it up off the ground and clear of standing water in spring. A connection sitting in melt water at the base of a post is asking to corrode, and corrosion here shows up as a fence that seems to weaken a little more every year for no obvious reason.
