Patriot positive/negative netting 164'
A 164 foot roll of 40 inch positive and negative netting with 18 built-in posts, for stock control where grounding is poor.
Details
Positive and negative netting runs live and earth wires alternately through the net itself, so an animal touching two wires completes the circuit through the netting rather than through the soil. That is the fix for dry, sandy, gravelly or frozen ground, where a conventional earth return simply cannot deliver a decent shock. In practice it means this net still bites in the conditions that defeat ordinary netting: mid-summer in a dry year, late fall once the top few inches have frozen, or on rocky ground where driving a ground rod is more of a suggestion than an installation. It is also the right choice for keeping predators out, since a coyote or a bear crossing dry ground may never make a good earth connection at all. The roll is 164 feet long and 40 inches high, with 18 built-in posts spaced ten feet apart and twelve horizontal wires. Tight post spacing is what keeps a net standing upright on uneven pasture. Set it with the bottom wire clear of grass and plan on walking it regularly to clear vegetation, because a shorted net is a fence in name only.
