The SolarGuard 3500 is the top of the Patriot solar line and it puts genuinely large-fence power into a self-contained box. Patriot rates it at 4.6 stored joules, 3.5 joules of output, up to 65 miles of fence or 200 acres, running off a 39W panel and an internal rechargeable 12V battery. That is the same output rating as the PMX350 mains unit, without needing a power pole. If your grazing is spread across leases and community pasture with no service anywhere near, this is how you get a real fence out there instead of settling for a small battery unit and hoping the stock respect it. Multiple power modes let you manage the battery through the short days of late fall. It ships with a fence lead set, wood post mounting hardware and a T-post mounting channel, so you can set it permanently or move it along with a rotation. Face the panel south and well clear of bush shade, and sweep the snow off after a storm. Ground it properly on site too, because a big solar unit sitting on one shallow rod in dry pasture soil will disappoint you. Three-year warranty.
