Patriot poliwire tensioner (5 pack)
Inline tensioners, five to a pack, for pulling the slack out of poliwire runs that have stretched and started to sag.
Details
Poliwire stretches. That is not a defect, it is what plastic filament does after a summer of heat and a winter of frost, and it is why a temporary fence that was drum tight in June is lying in the grass by September. These inline tensioners give you a way to take the slack back out without cutting, re-tying and shortening the run every time. Fit one into each strand when you build the fence, somewhere you can reach from the ground without a ladder or a fight, and tightening becomes a walk-past job instead of a project. A sagging poliwire is not just untidy. It drops into grass and shorts, it lets stock push under, and come winter it collects snow and gets buried. Five to a pack is usually a couple of paddocks worth if you are running two or three strands. On long temporary runs, put a tensioner at each end rather than trying to pull all the slack from one side, and check them in the first week after you build, when new wire does most of its stretching.
