Details
This is the same conductor that comes in the Patriot pet and garden kit, sold on its own so you can extend a run or replace a length that got chewed, mowed or wound back on wrong. A hundred feet is a practical amount for yard work: around a vegetable garden, along a flower bed, or a temporary line keeping the dog off new sod. Green is the whole point. Standard pasture poliwire is white or orange so stock can see it, which is exactly what you want in a field and exactly what you do not want across the front of the house. Green reads as garden trim rather than farm fence, and from the road it more or less disappears. Poliwire is light enough to string on small clipped garden posts without tools, and light enough to roll up in a few minutes when the lawn needs cutting or the garden comes out in the fall. Keep it clear of wet grass and leaf litter, since a small energizer has very little to spare, and pull it up before freeze-up so you are not chipping it out of the ice in spring.
