This is the top of the Patriot range. Twenty stored joules, twelve joules of output, and a Patriot rating of up to 200 miles of fence or 600 acres. You buy a PMX1500 when you are running a whole ranch off one energizer instead of scattering small units across the place. Power at this level changes how you fence. It will carry current through grass contact and long multi-wire runs that would flatten a smaller unit, and it lets you hang cross fences off the main line without rethinking the system. It also means you have to be deliberate about grounding. A big energizer sitting on a poor ground field is just a big energizer wasting most of its output. Plan on a proper ground bed of several rods spaced well apart, in the dampest ground you have. It runs on 110V and needs to be housed indoors, with the lead-out taken through the wall to a cut-out switch. On a fence this long a cut-out lets you isolate sections and hunt a fault without walking the whole perimeter in a ground blizzard. Three-year warranty including lightning.
