This is the fence half of a pet and garden setup. Posts, wire, ground rod and connectors, with no energizer in the box. If you already own a small Patriot unit, or you are adding a second run off one you have, this is the kit to grab. You get ten posts at 28.5 inches with four preset clips moulded into each one, so you can set your wire height without measuring or fussing with separate insulators. A hundred feet of green poliwire is enough to ring a vegetable garden, fence a dog off the flower beds, or throw a temporary line around a new shelterbelt planting to keep the deer honest. Green blends into a yard far better than white or the usual orange. The ground rod is the part people skip, and then they wonder why the fence feels dead. Drive it into soil that stays damp, not the gravel beside the driveway, and connect it properly. On a light system like this a soft ground field will cost you most of your bite. Pull the posts before freeze-up and the whole kit stores in a corner of the garage.
