Details
One point nine output joules from 2.7 stored joules, and a Patriot rating of up to 50 miles or 165 acres. This is the battery energizer for a medium to large operation with real numbers of livestock and more fence than a small unit can hold up. It runs on a 12 volt battery and is solar compatible with an external panel. For an outfit grazing land with no power on it, that is the whole argument: you get output in the range of a mains unit without needing a service, and the system stays put for the season. It mounts on a wall, a wood post or a T-post. Low impedance design, LED indicator, and a three-year warranty from Patriot that includes lightning protection. At this output the supporting work matters as much as the box. Give it a proper multi-rod ground array, because dry summer soil and hard-frozen winter ground both conduct badly, and put a lightning arrestor on the line if you are feeding long runs across open country. Sized and grounded properly, this unit will hold cattle through a season without you thinking about it.
