Patriot jumper leads
Insulated leads for connecting the energizer to the fence line and to the ground system without losing voltage on the way.
Details
The energizer does not sit on the fence. It sits in a shed, on a post, or in a box by the yard, and something has to carry the output from there to the wire and from the ground terminal to the earth stakes. Bare wire strung across that gap picks up shorts on everything it passes, and ordinary house wire is not rated for the voltage an energizer puts out. Jumper leads are made for that run. Heavy insulation rated for fence voltage, with connections at each end sized for the terminals and the wire. Two rules worth following. Keep the lead-out and the earth lead well apart, because run side by side they will arc between each other and you will lose output before it ever reaches the fence. And do not let the lead-out touch anything on its way to the line, including the shed wall, the post it runs down, or the top of a snowbank. Both of those faults are common, both are invisible on a walk past, and both quietly cost you the shock you paid for.
