Details
These screw straight into a wood post and give you a corner strain point without building anything. They are the practical answer when you are running an offset live wire around an existing fence line and need it to turn a corner cleanly. They take poly wire, poly rope, poly braid and aluminum wire. Four to a pack. Worth knowing before you buy: Patriot does not recommend corner lags for use with high output joule energizers. On a big system pushing serious energy down a long run, put in a proper strain insulator or a porcelain end and keep the lags for offsets, cross-fences and lighter work. Used within that range they last well and go in with a socket in about a minute each. Where they earn their money is retrofitting. Adding a hot offset to a barbed wire fence to stop cattle rubbing, running a poly line around a hay yard, or fencing off a dugout. All of it wood posts, all of it needing corners, none of it worth the labour of a braced assembly.
