Strictly Equine wheat germ soybean oil
Wheat germ and soybean oil blend, fed as a top dress for condition and as a natural source of vitamin E.
Details
A wheat germ and soybean oil blend, fed on top of grain or a complete feed. Like other feeding oils it is a concentrated calorie source, which makes it useful for horses that need condition or working energy without more grain going in. Wheat germ oil is also a recognised natural source of vitamin E. Most horses take oil without complaint once they are accustomed to it, and the ones that refuse it usually got too much too soon. So start small. A fraction of the intended amount for the first few days, working up over a week or two, gives the horse time to adjust and saves you from a rejected bucket or loose manure. Feed according to the label directions. Keep it somewhere cool and closed. Oils go rancid with heat, light and air, and a horse will tell you an oil has turned well before you notice it yourself by walking away from feed it ate happily last week. If a jug smells sharp or paint like, do not feed it.
