Feed changes are one of the routine disruptions of horse keeping. A new load of hay, a move to a different barn, a week of hauling to shows, a switch from pasture to winter rations. Each one asks the gut to adjust, and this powder is what a lot of operations reach for around those transitions. The formula pulls together three things: digestive enzymes, live probiotic cultures including Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum, and microbial fermentation products. Strictly Equine describes it as a full-spectrum supplement for supporting normal digestive function, and points to travel, training loads, feed transitions and competition schedules as the times it is most often used. This is the 4.54 kg pail, the larger of the two sizes offered. It suits a barn with several horses on it, or anyone feeding it steadily through the year rather than in short blocks around hauling season. It is a dry powder, so it mixes into grain or a damp mash without fuss. Live cultures do not like heat or moisture, so keep the lid sealed, store it somewhere cool and dry rather than in a sunny feed room, and use a dry scoop each time.
