In-line strainers get tensioned once and then left in the fence, and the handle almost always ends up somewhere else: in a toolbox, in the back of the truck, or in the grass where it was dropped. This is the replacement, so a bent or missing handle does not mean replacing a strainer that is otherwise fine. One handle will operate every strainer of the same type on the fence, so most people carry a single handle in the truck for retensioning rounds. High tensile wire moves with temperature, and on a western Canadian fence line the swing between a thirty degree July afternoon and a minus thirty five January night is enough to leave wires slack in summer and singing tight in winter. A quick pass with the handle each spring keeps the line where you want it. This handle is made for the SA016 in-line strainer specifically.
