Details
This is the mains adaptor for the bigger Speedrite unigizers — the 6000, 12000 and 18000. Those units draw more than the smaller 1000, 2000 and 3000 models, so they use a heavier adaptor, and the two are not interchangeable. Check the model on your energizer before ordering. Because the adaptor is external, it is exposed in a way the sealed energizer case is not. Cords get pulled when the unit is moved, connectors corrode, and mice in a granary or pump house will find the wire. When a unigizer runs fine off a 12-volt battery but shows nothing on house power, the adaptor is the first thing to check and usually the whole answer. An 18 joule unit sitting dark in the middle of February because of a failed plug pack is an expensive kind of quiet. If your energizer runs a lot of fence, or sits somewhere you do not visit daily, keep a spare adaptor on hand. Swapping one out takes minutes and no tools.
