Speedrite extreme wire 660'
A 660 foot roll of Speedrite Extreme Wire, tinned copper strands in UV-stable polyethylene, for shorter runs that still need full voltage.
Details
Same conductor as the long rolls in a size that suits a single paddock cut, a lane across a slough, or a temporary line around regrowth. Six tinned copper filaments do the conducting, and the polyethylene carrier is UV stabilized and mildew resistant. Where the 660 foot roll earns itself is the awkward middle ground: a run too long for ordinary poliwire to hold voltage, but not long enough to justify pulling out a full spool. Acreage owners fencing a horse paddock off an existing perimeter, or a rancher strip grazing swaths through the fall, tend to go through these steadily. Keep a roll of copper wire for the jobs where voltage matters and save the cheaper stainless twine for short back fences. Wind it onto a reel rather than coiling it by hand, and join with clamps rather than knots. A knotted joint is the first thing to go once frost gets into the line.
