Extreme Wire is the high-conductivity version of ordinary temporary fence wire. Six tinned copper strands are woven through it, and Speedrite rates it at 105 times more conductive than standard poliwire. It is UV stabilised and white with a red weave so it stays visible against snow, stubble and dull light. This is the 1,320 foot (400 m) roll. Conductivity is the whole reason to buy it. Standard stainless poliwire sheds voltage as it goes, so on a long strip or a cross fence running the length of a quarter, the far end of the line is a fraction of what you measured at the energizer. Copper strands carry the pulse to the end of the run instead of losing it along the way. On a big rotational grazing setup where one energizer is feeding a lot of temporary wire, that difference decides whether the fence holds. Run it off a geared reel and keep the tension moderate — poliwire is not high tensile and needs slack to move with wind and temperature. Use insulators that hold the wire without pinching it, so the copper strands stay intact, and join runs with wire links or clamps rather than knots. A knotted poly join puts plastic between your conductors and the fence goes dead past that point.
