This is a replacement control card for the Speedrite 36000RS mains energizer. Speedrite builds its larger mains units as serviceable assemblies rather than sealed boxes, so a board-level failure can be repaired in the field or at a dealer instead of writing off the whole energizer — which matters a great deal when the unit is holding fence around several sections. Big mains energizers fail for a short list of reasons, and lightning is at the top of it. Miles of fence wire make an excellent path for a surge to travel back to the energizer, and the control electronics are usually what goes first. Mains surges and water ingress through a damaged case do the same job more slowly. Confirm this part against the model and serial plate on your energizer before ordering. Speedrite uses different boards across the range and between production runs, so the fitment should be checked against your actual unit rather than assumed from the model name. If the failure followed a storm, look at your ground system and fit lightning protection before installing the new card — otherwise you will be replacing it again after the next front comes through.
