What is the best thing to buy for ants in the house?

The short answer

Buy Ortho Ant B Gon Max Ant & Roach Killer Gel, our top seller for ants at Pipestone Farm Supply. It comes as two 42.5 g syringes, and you squeeze small dots or lines into cracks and corners. Ants eat the bait and carry it back to the colony, where it can reach the queen. For hands-off bait, add Ortho Ant B Gon Max Ant Traps, which work the same way and are ready to set out. Use bait only where children and pets can't reach it, and not where food is prepared or stored.

We keep this on hand, so it's ready to go. In-stock orders can ship as soon as the same day, and depending on where you are, your parcel can arrive in as little as 1 to 2 business days once it's on the road. Pickup in Millet, Alberta is free, and shipping is free on orders over $199.99 to most addresses.

Does Ortho Ant B Gon work on the whole colony?

Ortho says its baits do. Ant B Gon Max Ant Eliminator Liquid, a small 100 mL bottle, needs only a few drops, and Ortho says ants carry it to the nest and it destroys the whole colony in up to 7 days. The Ant Traps package says they help destroy the entire colony. Keep bait out of reach of children and pets.

What works for ants on a driveway, patio or foundation?

Use Ortho Ant B Gon Max Ant Killer Granules for nests and mounds outside. Scatter them dry, or dissolve 20 to 50 g in 1 L of water and pour it over about 1 square metre around the nest entrance, early morning or evening when ants are home. Granules are for outdoor use only. For spot spraying, Ant Eliminator Ready-To-Use goes on the exterior surfaces of buildings, and Ant Killer Foam covers porches, patios, decks, cracks and ant hills.
