Doktor Doom ant eliminator 544g 0.05%dta, 0.25%nob, 0.2%per
Ant control spray, 544 g, combining fast knockdown with a residual — for trails, entry points and nest treatment.
Details
An ant spray with three actives working together: d-trans allethrin for immediate knockdown, permethrin for a residual that keeps working after the spray dries, and n-octyl bicycloheptene dicarboximide to boost the performance of both. The residual is the important part with ants. Killing the ants you can see accomplishes very little — they are foragers, and the colony that sent them replaces them within a day. A treated surface along the trail, at the entry point, and around the foundation keeps working on the ants that follow, which is what actually changes the situation. Read and follow the label. It specifies which ants and which sites the product is registered for, whether it can be used indoors or only outside, protective equipment, and how long to keep people and pets off treated surfaces. It is a legal document, not a suggestion. Practical approach: follow the trail back before you spray anything. Ants moving in a line are telling you where they come in and often where the nest is, and treating the source is worth ten times treating the counter. Outdoors, treat the foundation, the entry points and the trail. Indoors, treat only where the label permits, and clean up the food or moisture that is drawing them in the first place — a treated kitchen with crumbs on the floor is a kitchen that has ants again next week. Keep it off food surfaces, away from feed and water, off skin and out of eyes, and away from heat and flame. Do not spray around fish tanks — pyrethroids are highly toxic to fish.
