Z Tags Z2 no-tear-tagger red replacement pin
A red replacement pin for the Z2 no-tear-tagger, the wear part to change before it starts damaging ears.
Details
The pin is the only part of a tagger that regularly fails, and it rarely fails at a convenient moment. It gets closed on a headgate rail, dropped point-first on concrete, or simply worn round after enough head. Once it is bent or blunt the tag goes through crooked, the button will not seat, and the ear takes the punishment instead. This is the correct pin for the Z2 no-tear-tagger. The red colour makes it easy to confirm you have the right part in hand rather than something that came out of a different tool three years ago. Fitting it takes a minute at the bench with the tagger in front of you. Buy one before you need it. The morning you discover a bent pin is always the morning there are cattle standing in the alley and nobody has time for a trip to town. Keep a spare in the tag box alongside the marker and the removal knife, and check the fitted pin at the start of each season rather than partway through a hundred head.
