Details
Z1 one-piece calf tags come blank so you can number them the way your outfit actually works: cow number, birth order, sire group, or just one big digit you can read from the truck. Write them up at the kitchen table with a livestock tag marker and have them loaded and sorted before the calves ever come through the chute. The one-piece build is the point. There is no separate male button to line up and no back piece sticking out to catch on wire, brush or a feeder rail. The self-piercing tip makes a small clean hole, and the applicator pin pivots clear so there is less tearing. The long neck lets the flag hang and swing, so you can read it from either side of the alley. Black reads well against a light or white-faced head and gives you a strong contrast colour if you are colour-coding by calving year, pasture or group. These are management and visual identification tags only, not a replacement for an approved CCIA tag.
