Details
Medium is the size most commercial cow herds land on. Enough panel to carry a number you can read from a feed truck, not so much tag that it swings and catches every time a cow puts her head through a feeder. If you are tagging mature females and are not sure which size to buy, this is usually the right answer. Green is a good second base colour on a place that has outgrown running everything in yellow. One use that pays for itself is marking bought-in females. Every cow that came from somewhere else wears green, every cow raised at home wears yellow, and years later you can still tell at a glance which half of the herd you selected and which half you bought. That is a hard thing to reconstruct from records once the original paperwork is filed away. These are Z2 two-piece tags, both halves supplied, applied with the Z2 tagger which is designed alongside the tag to reduce tearing during application. Blank, twenty-five sets per bag, numbered with a tag marker. Use them for management and visual identification. An approved CCIA tag is a separate requirement.
