Details
If you are only going to order one colour in quantity, this is the one. Yellow is what most yards and most cow herds in western Canada run as the baseline, and buying the full thousand-tag sequence in it covers an entire intake without a second thought. The reasoning behind a default colour is worth stating. When the ordinary animal wears yellow, every other colour on the place becomes a signal, and a crew can be told the system in about thirty seconds. Add colours for the exceptions and keep yellow for the bulk, and the yard reads itself. Yellow also performs. It stands up against black and red hides, stays visible in summer grass, and does not disappear against a snowbank the way some lighter colours do. The tags come factory printed from 1 to 1000 in sequence, in the compact one-piece feedlot size, with a self-piercing tip and no button to seat, applied with the Z Tags one-piece applicator. This is a management and visual identification tag, not a substitute for an approved CCIA tag.
