Details
Rotational grazing outfits and anyone running cattle across several leases end up needing a colour that says where an animal belongs. Green is a good candidate because it is common enough to buy in quantity but distinct enough that it never gets mixed up with the yellow that most herds default to. Be realistic about where it works. Against a green summer pasture at four hundred yards, a green tag is not the one you will find first, so keep it for coding you read up close in a corral or at a bunk rather than for spotting animals at long range. In a lot, on brown ground, or over winter, it reads perfectly well. The order arrives printed in sequence from 1 to 1000, which removes the whole job of numbering by hand ahead of a processing day. One-piece construction, self-piercing tip, no button to seat, applied with the Z Tags one-piece applicator in the compact feedlot size. Numbers can be read from the front or the back of the ear. This is a management and visual identification tag, not a substitute for an approved CCIA tag.
