Details
Green suits a flock that spends most of the year outside. Against snow and against a bare winter paddock it separates cleanly, and it sits far enough from the yellows and oranges people usually run as a base colour to work well as a group marker. This is the small animal flag, a compact tag about two and three-eighths by one and three-quarters inches. That size matters more on small stock than people expect. Too much tag in a light ear catches on fence, feeders and other animals. Fifty blank tags per bag covers a decent lambing or kidding season in one order, with the numbering left entirely to you. The tag is one piece with a self-piercing point, so application is a single squeeze of the applicator with nothing to assemble and no button sitting on the back of the ear. These are management and visual identification tags. They are not a substitute for an approved traceability tag.
