Details
Yellow is what most calves end up wearing, and it is a sound default. It reads against black hides and green grass, marker stays legible on it, and it is bright enough to spot a calf sleeping in a bunch of feed without being so loud that every animal in the pasture demands your attention. Running yellow as the baseline is what gives the other colours meaning. If the calf crop is yellow, a red tag or a pink tag tells you something the moment you see it, without any need to get closer. This is the long neck version, with more length between the ear and the flag than the standard calf tag, so a calf tagged at a day old still has a tag hanging right at weaning. Twenty-five blank tags per bag. One piece, self-piercing point, applied with a single squeeze and no button to load. These are management and visual identification tags. They are not a substitute for an approved CCIA tag.
