Turquoise is worth having because it is not blue and it is not green, and at fifty yards that distinction actually holds up. If you already run blue on one group, turquoise gives you a second cool colour a rider can call correctly without riding in closer to check. It also reads well in summer. Against green grass and against black or red hair, turquoise sits in a different part of the spectrum than most tag colours, which is what makes it easy to sort by eye when the pairs are strung out on a big field. This is the long neck calf tag, with extra length between the ear and the flag for calves tagged young. Twenty-five blank tags to a bag, numbering left to you. The one-piece design has the piercing tip moulded into the point, so it seats with one squeeze of the applicator and leaves nothing behind the ear. These are management and visual identification tags. They are not a substitute for an approved CCIA tag.
