Details
Purple is the colour to spend on something you genuinely want to track. Calves out of one bull, calves out of the AI draft, calves from the first cycle, anything you want to look at as a group later without pulling a list. Purple is uncommon enough that it never gets confused with a general herd colour. The long neck calf tag has additional length between the ear and the flag compared to the standard calf size, which is what you want on an animal tagged within a day or two of birth and carried through to fall. Twenty-five blank tags per bag. The one-piece build is the practical part in a calving barn. The point of the tag pierces the ear as the applicator closes, so there is nothing to assemble, nothing to drop in the bedding, and nothing sitting behind the ear afterward. These are management and visual identification tags. They are not a substitute for an approved CCIA tag.
