Herdsman Two Piece Tag Cow (bag/25)

Details
The cow-size Herdsman is the large panel version of the Z Tags two-piece tag. A male rivet pushes through the ear and locks into the back of the panel, and the rivets are included in the bag. Application is with a universal two-piece applicator, not the one-piece No-Snag tagger, so check the tool before you bring cows in. What makes the Herdsman hold is the wide neck and sloped shoulder around the rivet hole. Instead of all the pull landing on one thin point, the load spreads across a broader shoulder, which is where thin two-piece tags usually fail. It is built as a long-term tag rather than a one-season one. The big panel is the reason to run cow tags rather than calf tags in mature stock: more surface for a large number, so you can read a cow from the truck at the far end of a field. Colour-code by year, by breeding group or by pasture and half your sorting is done by eye. Visual management tags only, not approved traceability tags.
