Details
Numbered sets save you the job of writing tags. These come stamped in sequence out of the 1 to 200 range in bundles of 25, so you pick the bundles you need, tag in order, and write the numbers into your book as you go instead of matching hand-written tags to cows in the alley. This is the mature cow size, a large flag with big dark numbers that you can read from the truck or across a pen. Green works as a main herd colour or as one year in a colour rotation, so you can age a cow by eye before you read her number. These are Z1 one-piece tags. No rivet, no back button, and nothing sticking out behind the ear for wire, brush or a feeder rail to hook. The self-piercing tip makes a small clean incision rather than punching out a plug, and the applicator pin pivots through the ear to reduce tearing. Management and visual ID tags only, not approved CCIA traceability tags.
