Load cells are the easy part of a chute scale. Getting four of them located, square, and carrying the frame evenly is the actual work, and doing it with brackets made up in the shop rarely ends well. These are the factory brackets for that job. Each bracket is a two-piece assembly supplied with its hardware, made to hold XHD2 load cells against a squeeze chute frame. Cells can be mounted under the chute or suspended above it depending on how the frame is built, and the same brackets suit manual and hydraulic chutes as well as tilt tables, rotating chutes and multi-animal platform scales. Note the quantity. An XHD2 system runs four load cells, and two boxes are needed to complete a chute installation, so order them in pairs. Discovering that halfway through a Saturday is the sort of thing that stops a project for a week. Before ordering, confirm the fit with your chute manufacturer. Bracket patterns vary between makes, and some chutes are supplied scale ready with mounting provisions already in the frame, in which case no brackets are needed at all.
