Big mature cows and herd bulls need more deck than a 24 inch platform gives them. Crowd an 800 kg animal onto something narrow and it fidgets, the reading wanders, and the whole draft slows down. The extra ten inches of width here is the difference between an animal standing still and an animal shifting its feet. The AP800 is 865 by 2220 mm (34 by 87.5 in), built the same way as its narrower sibling: a 6 mm (quarter inch) aluminum deck, a 13 mm (half inch) rubber mat secured with aluminum plates at both ends, low profile, and no sharp edges anywhere an animal can catch itself. It is drilled for MP800 load bars, not MP600. The MP800 bars are 810 mm (32 in) long to span the wider deck and carry 3000 kg (6600 lb) across the pair, which is the headroom you want under full-grown stock. With the bars underneath, any Tru-Test indicator reads the system without calibration. Level ground matters more as the platform gets bigger, since a twist in the frame puts uneven load into the bars. Bed it on packed dirt or concrete, confirm all four rubber feet are carrying, and leave a finger of clearance between the deck and anything fixed alongside it.
