Weighing lambs or show pigs on a cattle platform is more work than the job deserves. The deck is long enough that the animal wanders off centre, and it takes two people and a pickup to move it. Something one person can carry to the pen and set down changes the whole exercise. The platform is 610 by 1220 mm (24 by 48 in) in aluminum with a non-skid surface, and it weighs about 14 kg (31 lb). Rope handles at each end mean it gets carried rather than dragged. There are no sides, which keeps it light and low, and animals step on without much hesitation.
