Details
An indicator is the most expensive item in the weighing kit and the most easily broken. Between sessions it usually ends up loose behind the seat, sliding around with fence pliers and a length of chain, and the 7 inch screen is what finds the chain first. This is the hard plastic case supplied with the XR5000 and ID5000 indicators. If the original went missing, broke a latch, or a second one is wanted for a second unit, this is the same case bought on its own. It fits those two models and no others. The smaller S3 and the stick readers have their own cases. Keeping the leads with it is worth the habit. Cable, charger and any adaptor cables stored in the case means the indicator arrives at the chute ready to work, rather than sending somebody back to the shop for a cord that stayed on the bench. Between seasons, store the case somewhere that does not freeze, and put some charge into the indicator before it goes away rather than leaving it flat until spring.
