Retrofitting weighing to a chute already standing in the yard is mostly a fitment question, not a weighing question. The bars are the easy part. Getting them located under the frame, square and carrying the full load, is where a retrofit goes right or wrong, and that is what these brackets are for. The set is two brackets sized for HD850 load bars, the 865 mm (34 in) heavy duty bar rated at 3000 kg (6600 lb) per pair. They locate the bars under the chute frame so the entire chute rides on the weighing system rather than partly on its own feet, which is the most common reason a chute scale will not settle on a number. Not every chute needs them. Many current models are supplied scale ready, with mounting pads already welded in the right places, and adding brackets to those is unnecessary. Where the chute is older, or came from a manufacturer that made no provision for scales, check the bracket pattern against your frame before ordering. HD850 bars are sold separately, as is the indicator. Plan the installation as a permanent one on a level concrete pad, and route the load bar cables where hooves and a manure scraper will not find them.
