There is a version of this that goes wrong every few years. Somebody unfamiliar with the place takes hold of a wire, or a child comes through a fence line from a road allowance. Marking a hot fence is the cheapest risk management available, and in a good many municipalities it is a requirement rather than a suggestion, so check your local bylaws. Speedrite's sign, part SA046, is the larger format at 250 x 130 mm (10 x 5 inches) and 160 mil thick, in high-visibility yellow, with a hole at each corner. Ten per pack. The four corner holes are more useful than they sound. A sign with a single fixing spins in the wind and ends up facing the field. Through two or four corners it stays square and stays readable, whether you are wiring it to a fence strand, a post or a gate panel. Concentrate them where the public actually meets the fence: road frontage, the approach lane, gates and any corner adjoining a neighbour or a trail. Signs facing an empty field do nothing but use up the pack.
