Same wire as the big rolls, in a size that fits a single job. Two hundred metres is about right for one reel of strip-grazing line, a lane wire, or a temporary paddock around a small acreage. The small roll is also the one to keep in the truck. Polywire breaks. A deer goes through, a branch comes down, a swather clips it, and having 660 feet on hand means the repair happens the day you find it rather than the next time you are in town. For acreage owners with one or two horses and a couple of small paddocks, this size covers the whole place with room to spare. Stainless filament polywire is a short-run conductor by nature. Use it for the lines where distance is modest and visibility matters, and step up to copper strand wire for the long hauls where voltage drop starts to bite. Wind it onto a reel when you take it down, and store it out of the sun over winter rather than leaving it looped over a post.
