Speedrite main module - 36000rs
The replacement main module for the Speedrite 36000RS energizer, the core assembly fitted when a large unit is rebuilt rather than replaced.
Details
The 36000RS is a large mains energizer, and when one fails the question is always whether to repair or replace. On a unit of this size the main module is the part that makes repair worthwhile. It carries the control and drive electronics, and fitting a new one brings a unit back to working order for a fraction of a new energizer. Failures on big units usually trace back to lightning, a surge on the mains, or a fence fault that ran the unit hard for a long time. Before fitting a new module, it is worth finding out why the old one died. Put a module into a system with an inadequate ground bed and no lightning protection and you are likely to be buying another one. This module is specific to the 36000RS. Speedrite does not publish a serial-level fitment table for internal assemblies, so confirm against your unit's model and serial plate before ordering. This is a job for someone comfortable inside a mains energizer. Unplug it, let the capacitors discharge fully, and if there is any doubt, send the unit in for service rather than working on it live.
