This is the Speedrite AN90 battery energizer packaged with its stake, so the unit and its mount arrive together. Speedrite rates the AN90 to power up to 2 miles or 5 acres of fence. It runs on its own battery, which means no cord, no panel and nothing to bolt to a wall. The stake is what makes it a genuinely portable setup. Push it into the ground where you want the energizer, sit the unit on it, and it stands clear of wet grass, mud and snow instead of lying in it. For a temporary corral at a show, a weaning pen, a strip fence or an overnight paddock on a trail ride, the whole thing goes up in minutes and comes down just as fast. Take the ratings as a best case for a short, clean run with grass off the wire and a proper ground connection. It will not hold a section of permanent fence — that is unigizer work. And keep an eye on it through winter: cold cuts battery output hard, so test fence voltage regularly rather than assuming a unit that ran all summer is still doing its job in February.
