Speedrite 9 strand polywire 1320' - white
White nine-strand polywire on a 1,320 foot roll, the workhorse conductor for temporary cross fencing and strip grazing.
Details
Nine-strand polywire is the standard temporary fence conductor, and the 1,320 foot roll is the size most people end up buying. The extra strands over cheaper six-strand wire mean better conductivity and more strength, which shows up as a fence that still tests properly at the far end of a long strip. Polywire is what you reach for when the fence needs to go up today and come down next week. Strip grazing, temporary lanes, splitting a hay field for fall grazing, holding cattle off a slough while it dries — it goes onto a reel, off a reel, and does not weigh anything to carry. White shows up well against green grass and dark ground, though it is worth remembering that in deep winter a white line disappears against snow. Run it off a geared reel and keep the tension moderate. Polywire is not high tensile and should not be strained tight; leave it enough slack to move with wind and temperature swing. Use proper polywire insulators at posts so the strands are not pinched, and join with wire links or a proper knot that keeps metal-to-metal contact — a tied poly knot alone puts plastic between your conductors and kills the fence beyond that point.
