This is the battery power lead for Speedrite unigizers — the set of leads that connects the energizer to a 12-volt deep cycle battery. It is what turns a unigizer from a plug-in unit into something you can set on a fence post two miles from the nearest yard light. Battery leads take a hard life. They get coiled and uncoiled every time the energizer moves, clipped onto corroded terminals, dragged through mud, and left in a truck box over winter. Clamps corrode and the insulation cracks in cold. A poor battery connection shows up as an energizer that pulses weakly or intermittently, which is easy to misdiagnose as a fence fault when the problem is at the battery end. For remote pasture work through a western Canadian season, keep the connections clean and the clamps tight — cold makes a marginal connection worse, and a battery running at minus twenty has less to give in the first place. Speedrite uses different lead sets across its range, so confirm the part against your energizer model before ordering rather than assuming it will fit.
