A gun that has started to fill slowly, deliver short or dribble back down the tube has almost always got a valve problem rather than a barrel problem. Grit, dried product and a season of hard use are enough to stop an inlet or outlet valve seating properly, and once one is not sealing, dose accuracy goes with it. This kit is the inlet and outlet valve assembly for the VS injector range. It is a rebuild part, not something on a maintenance schedule. Most guns will go a long time before needing one, and the usual sign is a change in feel during refill rather than an obvious failure. Fitment is VS only, since the Premium, Compact, Optimiser and Sekurus bodies use their own valve sets and none of them interchange with this one. Fit it with the gun stripped, clean and dry, and check the valve orientation before closing it back up, because a valve in backwards will pass fluid the wrong way and look like a fresh fault. Once it is together, prime the gun and check the delivered volume into a graduated cup before it goes near an animal. Most valve trouble is prevented by flushing with warm water after use rather than letting product dry inside.
